I am a graduate from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and am currently employed by the School District of Philadelphia as an elementary music teacher for grades k-8. My duties include general and vocal music in classroom and extracurricular settings. In this position, I have created and developed a music program including choral and hand bell choir ensembles which produced multiple concerts a year. Outside of the traditional classroom I have been a percussion instructor for the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps and Norristown Area High School. In my role as instructor, I have contributed to the success of one of the most highly respected percussion programs in the country, as well as mentored countless students in building life skills such as responsibility, commitment and goal setting. My performance experiences include membership in the nine time world champions, The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps whom I performed with at the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade. |
